Studio City Homes for Sale
Aptly called “the film capital of Los Angeles,” this neighborhood located along Ventura Boulevard has been the site of a major Hollywood studio (hence the name) since the 1920s. Today that studio is the vast 40-acre CBS Studio Center, which has no less than 18 sound stages, more than 210,000 square feet of office space, a wide variety of backlot sets, and more. Unsurprisingly, this has made the neighborhood a top relocation destination among those working in the entertainment industry. When you live in Studio City, seeing celebrities just going about their everyday lives is a common sight.
Studio City has lots of pocket areas that provide something out of the ordinary. Take Tujunga Village, for example, located along Tujunga Ave. south of Moorpark Park. Here in this pedestrian-friendly district you’ll find an array of interesting boutiques, restaurants and all manner of independently-owned shops.
Studio City’s close proximity to the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains means you don’t have to far if you want to go hiking – there’s an abundance of trails here that offer magnificent views. Take for example Fryman Canyon Loop Trail, which is located on Betty B. Dearing Trail. Here, you can get plenty of exercise and much needed sunshine.
Real estate options in Studio City vary from luxurious hillside homes offering gorgeous views of the valley to charming condos and starter homes. There are still a few lots available as well.
Generally speaking, Studio City’s neighborhoods are paved with wide sidewalks and its streets are lined with tall trees providing lots of shade. There is also an abundance of pocket parks where you can walk the dogs or enjoy picnics with friends and family.
Take the kids to Moorpark Park, Wilacre Park or Woodbridge Park, where they can enjoy children’s play areas as well as picnic tables and barbecue pits and sports facilities like tennis and basketball courts.
