Found in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, between Tarzana and Sherman Oaks, is the charming town of Encino, a peaceful residential neighborhood that’s notable for being home to many high-profile residents and military veterans. It is also hailed as the “San Fernando Valley’s premier business community.”

Attractions

Los Encinos State Historic Park. This state park located in the corner of Balboa and Ventura Boulevard spans 4.7 acres and contains the iconic De La Ossa Adobe, a two-story limestone building that is considered a treasured historic building. There is also a small museum, a blacksmith shop, a natural spring, a pond, and picnic grounds where you can spend time with family and friends. The park serves as a historical and educational landmark that tells the story of Encino’s agricultural past through the ages.

Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area. Found in the intersection of the 101 and 405 Freeways, this flood control basin has over 2,000 acres of open space. This recreation area is packed with an extensive array of facilities which include two parks and an 80-acre sports field that has the best grass cricket pitches in the United States. You’ll find two golf courses here, the Encino Golf Course and the Balboa Golf Course, offering a total of 36 holes. The park also has an archery range, an indoor cycling track as well as an extensive bike path, tennis courts, a dog park, and a manicured Japanese garden.
